The Silent Patient

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides 

    I was impressed by the way the author start his plot. Alicia Berenson was thirty three years old and she’s the one who killed her husband Gabriel Berenson. She shot her husband in the head for five times. I loved the way he mentioned a Greek myth to specify the characteristics of Alicia. The author mentioned Alcestis from the Greek myth. She is the heroine of Greek myth who is known for her sacrifice. Alicia remained silent after that tragic incident and Theo Faber is the one who breaks it. This story has a very interesting plot twist in the end. I personally like the writing style of Alex. I liked the way the story has moved on. 

I personally like these lines which made me to buy the novel 

‘ Only she knows what happened, Only I can make her speak ‘
